Our Journey
Founded in 2011 by Ahmet Yılmaz and Sarah Johnson, Business Coaching Turkey began with a vision to transform leadership in Turkey's dynamic business landscape.
What started as a two-person consultancy in a small office overlooking the Bosphorus has grown into Istanbul's premier business coaching firm, with a team of 15 certified coaches serving clients across Turkey and the Middle East. Our founders met at a business conference in London, where they discovered their shared passion for developing leadership talent and bridging Western business methodologies with Turkish entrepreneurial spirit.
The early years were challenging as we worked to establish the concept of professional coaching in a market where it was still relatively unknown. Through persistence, proven results, and word-of-mouth referrals, we gradually built a reputation as trusted advisors to executives and leadership teams across diverse industries.
During the economic fluctuations of 2016, we pivoted our approach to focus more deeply on crisis management and resilience training—skills that proved invaluable to our clients. By 2018, we had expanded our services to include executive retreats in Cappadocia, combining strategic planning with mindfulness practices that enhance creative thinking and decision-making.
Today, we're proud to have worked with over 200 companies ranging from local startups to multinational corporations, helping shape a new generation of business leaders who combine analytical rigor with emotional intelligence.
